Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a district general hospital situated in a beautiful and remarkable part of the country – close to London yet surrounded by royal parks, historic buildings and the River Thames. We are located on a single site in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey and run several outpatient clinics in neighbouring areas including Raynes Park Health Centre and Teddington Memorial Hospital.

We employ 3,300+ staff who proudly and efficiently support over 350,000 people locally through a full range of diagnostic and treatment services and we have a national reputation for innovative developments in healthcare, particularly in 'patient-focused' care, day surgery and maternity services.

- Value Each Other – Value each other's contribution
- Inspiring - We always strive to empower each other to develop and deliver improvements to benefit our patients

Kingston Hospital is a district general hospital rated as outstanding by CQC in 2018. The hospital supports some 320,000 people in the surrounding area including Kingston, Richmond, Roehampton, Putney and East Elmbridge. Our hospital has a much higher proportion of very elderly patients within emergency admissions compared with the London (and England) average and expansion of the elderly care department reflects the large number of elderly people being cared for in our hospital as a whole.

We are looking for Elderly Care Consultants to join our team. We welcome dynamic, enthusiastic candidates who are passionate about providing great medical care to our elderly population and are keen to be involved in innovative service development and quality improvement within an outstanding organisation. We welcome applications from candidates who seek flexible, part time and full time posts, as well as candidates who are looking for a fixed term or substantive positions.

This is an amazing opportunity to join our department. The successful candidates will be supporting inpatient services but, as we undergo an exciting period of service development, we will be encouraging and willing to support within job planning any subspecialist interests that the successful candidate may have and we are happy to explore any innovative ways of working that might have a positive impact on our staff wellbeing and satisfaction.
